Mario & Luigi: Brothership
Mario & Luigi: Brothership – My Honest Kid Review
Okay, so I just played Mario & Luigi: Brothership on the Nintendo Switch, and I have thoughts. First of all, this game is FUN. Like, “oops, I forgot to do my homework” kind of fun. It’s got action, cool items, and that classic Mario banter we all love.

Gameplay – You Gotta Have Skills
It’s a turn-based game, which means you take turns attacking bad guys instead of just button mashing. BUT (big but) you also have to time your moves just right, or you’re gonna miss or get destroyed. So yeah, it’s not just about picking the strongest move—it actually takes skill.
If you’re, like, 5 years old, you might struggle with this. It’s not impossible, but I’d say 10 and up is the best age for actually winning fights without getting frustrated from constant deaths.

The Visuals (’cause looks matter)
The items in this game are awesome. You can power up Mario and Luigi with different gear to make them stronger. The only problem? They don’t LOOK different. Like, if I give Mario some super-powerful boots, I want to SEE some crazy, cool-looking boots. Instead, he just keeps wearing the same outfit like always.
The graphics are awesome though. The colors are bright, the world is fun, and the animations make everything feel super alive. It’s like playing inside a Mario movie. It continues to bring life to the Mario franchise.

Final Rating – Pretty Awesome
I’d give Mario & Luigi: Brothership a solid 8.5 out of 10. It’s fun, it looks great, and the battles are actually interesting. If they added a co-op mode, it would be even better. But for now, it’s a solid Mario RPG game.
